PSE Security Services Ltd have recently acquired all Service & Maintenance contract customers from Shropshire based Burglar alarm installation company, Town & Country Security. The company had over 500 customers throughout Shropshire, Staffordshire & Cheshire

The Proprietor of the Shropshire based company was looking to leave the security industry and was looking for a local company to continue to service the needs of their existing service and maintenance contract customers.

PSE Security Services Ltd had been in discussions during January 2013 regarding the purchase and  arranged for the contract to be drawn and made all the nessecary arrangements. The contract was signed by both parties and completed during the first week of February 2013 under a non disclosure agreement.

The migration of all customers onto our database was completed smoothly within a 4 weeks of transfer
All customers have already been contacted & notified by post and all contracts will continue to as normal.

What does this mean

The SSAIB is a specialist certification body for providers of electronic security systems and fire systems.
SSAIB (Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board) only certificate companies who demonstrate competence and financial probity in the management of their business. Certificated providers must also demonstrate technical competence and ethical conduct when it comes to providing monitored Intruder alarms & security services.

The role of the SSAIB is to ensure high standards of service and business ethics within the community of security, guarding and fire service providers in the interests of end users. This is achieved through rigorous assessment of providers against SSAIB’s scheme criteria and maintained by regular and ongoing audit of management systems and inspection of installation. We participate in the development of standards and regulations to ensure that they are current and workable, whilst also maintaining close liaison with the Police, Fire Services and Insurance industry to ensure ongoing support for our activities.

Gaining this accreditation means that we are recognised by all Police forces, in accordance with the ACPO policies.
This enables us to obtain (URN) Unique Reference Numbers to allow Police responce for monitored alarm systems.
 

SAFEcontractor Health & Safety Accreditation

PSE Security Services have been providing an exemplary contractor service to corporates since 1999.
We have the structure, team and knowledge to be able to offer a bespoke and flexible service to suit our
customers' needs and their client needs.

We fully understand just how important it is to ensure that we meet the standards set by businesses as a
contractor and have felt that it was important to apply for SAFEcontractor accreditation to support our offering.

The scheme recognises very high standards of health and safety practice amongst UK contractors and is
the fastest growing health and safety acceditation scheme in the UK. It is now used by many large
organisations as a way of obtaining competent contractors.

In order to achieve SAFEcontractor health & safety accreditation, PSE Security Services underwent a
vetting process, which closely examined the company’s health and safety policies and procedures.

Our accreditation was awarded on the 29th February 2012

There is no longer a need to worry about unexpected repair costs, because your system warranty has expired,
All existing customers can receive automatic email alerts two weeks before your system runs out of warranty
or before your extended maintenance contract is due to expire.

Due to recent tragic incidents highlighted in the news over the previous months,
We have received a lot of enquiries from people worried about the safety of their automatic gates.

Due to the increase in calls regarding health and safety compliance from both Domestic and Commercial customers, We are pleased to announce that we have decided to offer a free of charge visual inspection of your Automated Gate Installation.

From a visual inspection we are able to see the system in operation and identify that the correct safety devices and safety procedures are in place, and also to ensure that your installation documentation is fully up to date and compliant. 

Force Testing  - BS EN 12453:2001

Force testing is a legal requirement that applies to all Domestic, Commercial & Industrial Automation Systems . 

Any gate system that has been incorrectly or poorly installed can be a serious hazard. Incorrect motor pressures and force limite settings can result in serious injury or death and should only be configured by qualified professional automation installation engineers.

Testing is carried out by using a special testing device that measures the impact of the gate against an obstable or gate post. A series of tests are carried out by the tester, this can be anything from a minimum of 10 tests to over 27 tests per installation. Once the tests are all completed the results are analysed by special software to PASS or FAIL the system.

If your Automatic Gate System Force test is FAILED, Further work will be required to bring your installation up to the required standard and compliance. This will involve additional hardware or safety devices being installed onto your Electric Gate System.  If your Automatic Gate System Force test is PASSED, We will provide a certificate.
 

Should I have my Electric Gates force tested ?

We advise all customers to have their system fully inspected and tested if;

1 -  The installation was not carried out by an approved or registered company
2 -  You have no installation records or completed service certificates for the system.
 

How much will it cost ?

£120.00 + Vat          Sliding Gates /  Force Test, Includes Pass or Fail Certificate


If you are outside our coverage area, In addition to the above charges, 
We may charge an additional mileage fee of £0.40p per mile, plus Vat.
