Our company offers a full installation, maintenance & repair service for all types of electric gates. A free of charge survey & risk assessment is available to all domestic and commercial customers.
We offer an excellent range of services, Starting from small and minor repairs all the way through to complete installations. All installations are surveyed, risk assessed and designed by ourselves to comply with current legislation and safety requirements to ensure trouble free use.
As we have been installers of electric gates for over 5 years now and have been dealing directly with the leading manufacturers for many years, cutting out the middle man allows savings that we pass on to you the customer. We have gained an excellent technical knowledge of various types of products, which allows us to provide an installation and repairs service for virtually all makes and models of system.
We only use products that have been rigorously tried and tested and proven to stand up to the job. Most leading manufacturers now offer a minimum of 2 years warranty on their products.

Electric Gate Safety Testing & Compliance to BS EN12453
The Health and Safety Executive requires electric gate installers to carry out a comprehensive risk assessment of hazards to anyone using the gates prior to design and installation, and for the design to eliminate or considerably reduce any risks identified. It also requires that persons responsible for the management and maintenance of electric gates should be provided with appropriate documentation, instructions for use and training to operate and maintain the gates safely, and recommends that regular reviews or assessments should be undertaken to ensure the gates are maintained in a safe condition.

that we already adheres to the required actions of the Health and Safety
Executive, and would encourage any private individuals or commercial
organisations concerned about the safety of existing automatic gates to
arrange a electric
gate safety inspection.
We are are committed to continued compliance with
with European safety standards and
legislation.
Additional safety features may need to be added to standard or older
existing systems in order to achieve compliance. Any additional safety
devices required will vary for the type of system and installation
environment
of the the installed gates.
It is a legal requirement that all automatic gates are built to the
relevant standards and carry the ‘CE’ mark. All completed automation
systems provided by Potteries Security & Electronics
will carry the ‘CE’ mark and a certificate of conformity is issued for
each installation.

Intercoms & Video Entry
Intercom systems are an ideal access control solution when used with an electric gate system. There are a number of high quality brands available that are compatible with all types of electric gate installations. We can supply and install both wired and wireless intercom systems and if required can also incorporate a CCTV camera to enable you the facility of video door entry.
Every installation is carefully designed to accommodate ease of use and adapt to your lifestyle. Wireless systems are available with multiple options to suit each environment. Wireless systems allow speedy installation and gives the user total portability, using an internal rechargeable cordless phone.
1 Year Installation Warranty
It is of paramount importance that an electric gate system is serviced and maintained correctly according to the manufacturers requirements. Having your system serviced regularly not only ensures product life expectancy but also detects any potential mechanical or safety failures that are developing.
All new installations completed are fully backed by a 12 months warranty for both parts and labour.
Extended Warranty ⁄ Maintenance Contracts
Once the 12 month warranty period has expired you have the option to take out a maintenance service contract for your installation. During the maintenance contract we will visit your property two times to carry out routine preventative maintenance in accordance with the manufacturers specifications.
The Details are as follows:
Site Visit 1 – Carry out a full service to the system, Visual inspection &: test operation &: safety devices. Full control panel diagnostics test , Grease ⁄ lubricate all moving parts.
Site Visit 2 – Carry out a full service to the system, Visual inspection &: test operation &: safety devices. Full control panel diagnostics test , Grease ⁄ lubricate all moving parts. Replace all remote fob batteries.
The cost of our electric gates servicing and maintenance contracts start from only £75.00 + Vat, Per year.
All service labour costs are included in the maintenance contract and also includes all servicing consumables. There are no surprise or hidden charges. Any parts found to be faulty can be replaced at the customers request. All parts are chargeable.
Repairs
Do you have a faulty gate system and are in need of a repair, you're in the right place, We can help you.
Repairs can be carried out to any system, even if we have not installed it. from small domestic systems right through to larger commercial installations. If you're not sure what the problem is, why not give us a call and speak directly to an engineer. An engineer visit can be booked if requested.
A 24 hour emergency callout service is available 365 days a year to both existing and new customers. Our aim is to have an engineer on site within 4 hours of your call however this rarely goes over 2 hours response time. We have a fixed emergency callout charge of £50.00 + Vat for an engineer to attend.
All customers covered by an annual preventative maintenance contract are exempt from this charge.
